BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain KM2 Tires - Tire Test
Real-World Testing The 37x12.50R18 versions we tested have a load-index rating of 123 (3,415 pounds at 50 psi each) and are speed-rated to 99 mph, so they're suitable for 1-ton trucks. They seemed huge until we put them on the Airaid F-250. With a Rancho 4-inch lift, the tires cleared the fenders perfectly, but the factory Ford 18x8-inch wheels have so much backspacing that the driver-side tire would rub the Rancho radius arm when making hard left turns. On the rocks, the tires' clawing edges grabbed our Southern California boulders and exhibited surprising side-hill traction despite their appearance. The sidewall lugs actually added noticeable traction when driving in ruts and jagged rocks. In the photo, you can see traces of dirt up the sidewall that show how useful this part of the tire can be for gaining traction when the tire design takes advantage of it. View Related Article
