The exhaust brake is installed in place of the factory elbow. After the brake, pump and regulator assemblies are installed, the air lines are connected per the installation manual's instructions. With the exhaust-brake system installed, the BD manual gives instructions on how to achieve the correct setting for the activation of the exhaust brake in relation to the throttle pedal.
