The Texas Diesel Power Dragster has been getting faster and faster at every outing. Running low 9s on off-the-shelf parts, it was hunting for the 8s in Houston but missed by just a hair.

Tubbed, two-wheel-drive trucks seem to be getting more and more popular. We counted at least eight back-half rigs, many of which we had never seen before, such as this '06 LBZ that was running 11.80s with just a mild tune and nitrous.

KJ Kitchens and Earl Talley made it an all-TS Performance final in the bracket race. Earl even had a trick setup on his Dodge, which allowed him to turn his brake lights on and off with a switch so you couldn't tell when or if he was really hitting the brakes. Sneaky.

Texas also had its fair share of Power Strokes, including this mean, white 4WD that was running low 12s with water injection and no bottle.

Mike Dillehay was crowned the '07 Quick Diesel champion when his opponent red-lit in the final round. Mike also ran a best-ever of 12.27 at 113 mph in the big 7.3L Ford.
