When you hear manufacturers say their product includes "everything but the kitchen sink," it's easy to get jaded and think once again it's nothing more than marketing spin and empty promises.
With the touch of a button, you can go from tuning your diesel truck, to getting turn-by-turn, voice-guided directions from the GPS nav system.
But in the case of Edge Products' newest release, it comes pretty darn close to meeting the promise. The company's new A2 Attitude controller combines the functions of power module, speedometer calibration, accelerometer, and GPS navigation. The GPS system utilizes TomTom software, and the system ships with maps of the entire U.S. preloaded. The A2's navigation capability includes verbal directions, rerouting, ETA and points of interest. As if the product didn't have enough bells and whistles built-in, future models will include the provision for a wireless back-up camera.
Applications will be available for Edge's existing Juice With Attitude coverage: all Chevy/GMC 6.6L Duramaxes, 1998.5-2005 Dodge 5.9L Cummins and all 1999-2005 Ford Powerstrokes. Pricing has not yet been announced, but is expected to be released soon, and even better news for existing Attitude owners, Edge will offer an upgrade program for current owners to step up to the A2.
