RCV Performance Bulletproof CV Axles
RCV Performance now offers its Ultimate IFS CV axles for ’06 and newer (2500 and 3500) GM trucks. The CV axles distribute torque over a six-bearing inner CV joint, which is much stronger than the OE tripod design and offers 28 degrees of articulation. RCV Performance has the patented super-duty chromoly dome-mass cage and race with spherical sealing technology is used for the outer joints, which offers improved strength and up to 45 degrees of articulation. Its CV axles are ideal for lifted and high-powered trucks that spend time on- or off-road.
6.0L FICM Flash
Innovative Diesel Performance, which specializes in powertrain control module (PCM) tuning for the 6.0L Power Stroke, has released its FICM Flash. Fine-tuning the engine’s fuel injection events through the FICM provides an additional 25 rwhp or more to 6.0L trucks already equipped with custom PCM tuning (SCT flash devices, for example). In addition to adding horsepower, the FICM Flash is said to yield better mileage and throttle response. Units are plug and play, connect to your truck’s OBDII port, and retail for roughly $299.
