What’s interesting about Brad Moss’ ’11 Ford F-350 is that the closer and longer you look at it, the more and more details you start to notice. Put this slammed Super Duty next to a stock dualie, and the differences are astounding. For instance, see the front air dam? It’s from a 4x4 F-250. The exhaust tip is an 8-inch piece, so as to match the contour in the rear fender created for the stock dual tips. The running boards are from a King Ranch. All the black plastic and chrome was painstakingly smoothed and painted by Brad and his buddy Chris Bond. Smoked lights from Recon and LEDs are everywhere on this truck. Even the side mirrors and grille received the smoothed and painted treatment.

Masterpiece in Metal
Aside from the numerous subtle body modifications, there is the obvious stance of the truck. To achieve such a low ride height, a DJM lowering kit was installed to drop the Ford 3 inches in the front, and 5 in the rear. Brad also whipped up an air spring setup in the back for when he tows. The rims are also one of the main focal points of the truck, as custom adapters are used to mount six 24-inch, forged-aluminum wheels from American Force.

With the right look and stance taken care of, Brad then turned to power. A Black Maxx programmer is used in conjunction with a TS Performance MP-8 pressure box to give the 6.7L-powered Ford more than 400 hp at the wheels. The exhaust was freed up by a DPF delete and EGR plates and exits out into an MBRP tip. The package was rounded out with an AFE air filter, which keeps plenty of fresh air going to the stock turbocharger.

With the amount of work that has gone into the truck, you may be surprised to learn that Brad’s F-350 isn’t a show vehicle. He pointed out that ground clearance isn’t too bad, and that with the big air dam and four-wheel-drive running boards, it actually looks lower than it really is. It hauls some loads on his local farm, and although it has relatively low mileage (about 2,000 miles), it’s clear that Brad isn’t afraid to put this masterpiece to work.

Low doesn’t mean slow, as Brad’s engine modifications have upped the 6.7L engine’s power output to 500 flywheel horsepower. In addition to the power increase, the modifications also help the truck achieve 19 mpg on the highway.

No slammed rig would be complete without a thumpin’ stereo, so Brad installed a Kenwood head unit with Navigation and a DVD player. The head unit sends the tunes back to Kicker amps, which in turn power a 10-speaker sound system.

We’d bet money that most people think this is a factory bed with Line-X, but it’s not. To lower the truck without having the wheels protrude past the fenders, Brad sectioned his wheel tubs, widened them by 2 inches, and re-welded them.
