The 35-inch tires can roll smoke with a stab of the throttle. The 7.3L had already been modified by Jason and friend Justin Heck prior to the accident (another reason not to scrap the truck). Air flows through an AFE Stage 2 intake to a factory turbo that builds boost with the help of a Banks BigHead wastegate. On the other side of the turbo, a Banks 4-inch Sidewinder exhaust allows the turbo to spool quickly. Air from the turbo rushes into the International engine through a Banks Power elbow, and combines with large volumes of fuel provided by the stacked Banks Six-Gun tuner and ATS E-Power tuner.
The combination helps produce 319 hp and 668 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels. More purple parts from ATS include a Five Star torque converter, fully built 4R100 transmission with heavy-duty clutch packs, a high volume oil pump, and a deep transmission pan, which all help power get from the engine to the tires. These heavy-duty components indicate that the beauty of this Power Stroke is more than skin deep. The real beauty though, is Jason's love for his truck and the fact that he did not abandon his Super Duty when it was damaged. Instead, he built his truck to be better than ever...and landed on the pages of Diesel Power as a result!
