All across the U.S. there are homes, office buildings, roads, and bridges being built. The one thing all those job sites have in common is that they're filled with diesel trucks.
Chevy and Dodge guys aren't going to like reading this, but the Ford Super Duty seems to be found on more construction sites than the other two truck brands combined.
When the Warn company-based out of Clackamas, Oregon-set out to build the ultimate contractor's truck, what other vehicle would it have started with but a brand-new Ford Super Duty?
Built by a small group of enthusiasts within Warn for the 2008 SEMA show in Las Vegas, the F-250 brings together the company's proven off-road hardware (winches, bumpers, locking hubs, and off-road lights) with its newest ventures into commercial uses of its equipment. Namely, Warn's intention is to feature its new line of air compressors that are built to handle every job, from airing up off-road tires to running air tools at the job site.
We caught up with Warn's new F-250 in Moab to get a look at the hardware, and to pick up a few ideas for our next work truck project. We were impressed with the one-piece aluminum rack that covers the cab, and we're sure that many of you reading this would love to have this machine display your company's name on it!

Hidden behind the bumper is a Warn 16,500-pound winch that's strong enough to pull a bulldozer out of a ditch. The shackles are there in case the tables are turned and a bulldozer has to pull the truck out. | An Accu Air control system... An Accu Air control system allows the driver to optimize the suspension ride from inside the cab. The system is programmable and can save three preset suspension settings. |
