With so many different uses for today's diesel truck, one application that is often overlooked is the truck that's driven by your average, everyday pickup owner. We all know him-he's the guy, rain or shine, driving his diesel around on city streets. Ross Ramsey of Grapevine, Texas, is one of those guys. Whether the sun is high in the Texas sky or thunderstorms are rolling in from the plains, Ross drives this '05 Ford F-250 every day.

YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS
If the cliche wasn't clear before-yes, everything is bigger in Texas, including the trucks. Ross is no stranger to large, powerful, heavy-duty trucks, and his Ford was destined to follow suit. Ross turned to B&C Offroad in Pasadena, Texas, to handle a suspension lift big enough to put Ross high above the crowded Dallas streets. Originally, the F-250 was lifted 14 inches, but Ross wanted more, so B&C tweaked the suspension for an additional 2 inches of lift. Consisting primarily of a 16-inch 3rd Coast lift kit, B&C also installed six FabTech Dirt Logic 2.25 shocks. Extended-length steel braided lines now take the place of the factory brake lines. B&C also tossed the factory driveshaft in favor of a one-piece rear driveshaft. To finish things off, Powell Paint & Body in Pasadena, Texas, painted most of the suspension components to match the Ford factory yellow.

The thing that's immediately noticeable about Ross' F-250 is how well-assembled the truck is. In fact, from the front to the rear, attention to detail has been well executed. Ross rolls in style on a set of 22x14-inch KMC XD Diesel Series wheels wrapped in 40x15.50R22 Toyo Open Country M/T rubber.
