For Ross, attention to detail was just one aspect of owning such an eye-catching lifted truck. Performance was also a huge factor when determining which model he'd initially purchase. When asked why he chose diesel over gas, Ross answered quickly, "More power. This thing runs, man."

SIMPLE, PROVEN, 6.0L POWER STROKE
Backed by Ford's 6.0L turbocharged powerplant, a short yet effective list of modifications helped improve power in the drivetrain department. Ross decided to scrap the original factory exhaust and go with an upgraded system that would allow the F-250 to breathe easier. Kenny's Muffler installed a 4-inch MagnaFlow cat-back that feeds into a 5-inch MagnaFlow tip, dumping in the center of the truck directly under the bed. Ross also gets automatic response and aggressiveness adjustments from the cab via a Bully Dog Triple Dog programmer.

While not heavy with modifications, Ross Ramsey's '05 Ford F-250 is a perfect example of what the everyday guy sitting at home with a heavy-duty diesel truck parked in the driveway can achieve in a relatively short amount of time. Not to mention doing so without completely depleting his wallet.
