A Yeti has been spotted roaming the hills of Colorado, but it's not the Abominable Snowman, Sasquatch, or Bigfoot you may be picturing. It's a massive Ford F-650 turbodiesel with the power of 860 lb-ft lurking under its skin. This beast acts as a rolling billboard for O'Meara Custom Designs, a shop well known for its wild Mustangs and crazy custom Fords.

7.2L Cat C7 Acert Engine
The F-650 is available with the 6.0L Power Stroke engine, the popular 5.9L Cummins, or the big dog 7.2L Caterpillar C7 Acert engine. This large-bore inline-six engine in the Yeti uses HEUI direct injection to create 300 hp and a massive 860 lb-ft of torque while managing to get up to 14 mpg from the 110-gallon fuel tank. Impressive, considering a stock F-650 weighs more than 5 tons.

Allison 3000 Transmission
Power from the big yellow Cat is sent through an Allison 3000 six-speed automatic transmission. Yes, this transmission is a GM Powertrain part, but the Allison has a great reputation and a massive 33,000-pound gross vehicle weight rating, perfect for pushing this giant on- and off-road in the Rockies.

Off-Road Equipment
To get this beast on and off the trails, you need some serious equipment behind the Allison 3000. That's why a 12,000-pound-rated Meritor front axle and a 17,500-pound Dana-built rear axle are used. The power they receive is split by an air-shifted two-speed Meritor transfer case that is definitely not shift-on-the-fly. If the Yeti ever gets in over its head, there is a Warn 16.5ti Thermometric winch filled with aircraft-grade wire rope at the ready.

Wheels and Tires
To avoid getting stuck in the first place, the F-650 wears aggressive 46.2-inch-tall Goodyear G178 Super Single 445/65R22.5 tires that weigh 231 pounds each. They are wrapped around forged aluminum 22.5x13-inch Alcoa 10-bolt wheels like you would find on a semi truck-well, a real nice semi truck.

Air Suspension
While the giant tires help soak up some of the bumps, the Yeti uses airbags to supplement the parabolic leaf springs with shocks up front. The Goodyear air shocks in the back are designed to hold up to 23,000 pounds with help from dual-action hydraulic shocks attached to the axle.

Video, DVD, and Sound System
Since the ride is tamed by the suspension setup and air ride seats, the O'Meara Customs team aims to entertain your passengers. The F-650 is fitted with a 17-inch West Coast Customs drop-down LCD screen for watching DVDs and top-of-the-line JL Audio speakers and amplifiers. If that wasn't enough, there is also an Eclipse video monitor in the dash and a custom center console with a built-in refrigerator. Front and rear video cameras are also used to keep the Yeti safe from unseen obstacles.

Have You Seen It?
While there have been numerous sightings, it's doubtful you'll ever see the beastly creature this truck is named after, but there is one sure way to catch this Yeti-use your wallet as bait. If you want to see one in your very own driveway, all you need is $65,000 for the "base" model or $125,000 for an F-650 Super Duty just like the one you see here.
