Since the truck already has looks, Chris and Chad plan on going even further in the power department with the addition of a FASS fuel system and a second CP3 pump. The hope is to push the truck into the 700-horsepower range, and still have it remain very drivable. They also plan on running it down the quarter-mile a few times, and hope to break into the 12s. With a bright future ahead, Chris and Chad are on track to proving that "show trucks" aren't something to be dismissed when the light turns green.
On the dyno, the truck barely produces any black smoke, thanks to efficient injectors from Dynomite Diesel along with 50 psi of boost from the ATS Aurora 3000 and 5000 turbos. Still, without messing with the wastegate settings or Diablosport tune, the truck put down over 600 horsepower on its first ever dyno run. | Believe it or not, this is a real truck, not a trailer queen, and it even has some underhood dirt to prove it. The top turbo is driven off of an ATS manifold and sits a little higher up than stock. | Why is the top turbo mounted so high? So a second one can be squeezed in of course! Peeking through the inner fender reveals the second Aurora turbo that helps the truck make the type of power numbers it does. |
A set of MBRP stacks are used to get rid of any excess backpressure and to create a mellow rumble. | Just in case the whistling turbos aren't loud enough, a custom speaker enclosure with three 10-inch subwoofers is located behind the rear seat. | A set of Autometer C2 gauges mounted in a custom suede-covered gauge pod keep the interior looking sharp, as well as providing the driver with information on how the Cummins is running. |
An RBP grille and Xross Motors headlight covers add some style to the factory front end. | The interior of the truck was spared no mercy from modifications, and features a full Katzkin leather kit for the stock Dodge seats, as well as a custom suede headliner by Awesome Accessories. | We always get wheel and tire questions from readers, so before you ask, the wheels are T901's from RBP and the tires are 37x13.50x22s Toyo Open Country MT's. |
A set of traction bars from Rize Industries were also fitted just in case the truck sees a dragstrip or pulling track. | In addition to the lift, a set of King reservoir shocks were added, which made a "world of difference" in the ride and handling according to Chad from Alligator Diesel. | |
