The Mega Cab Ram 2500 diesel has only been available for about a year, but this project already looks complete. It features a 6-inch lift, 37-inch tires on 22-inch wheels, a ram air hood feeding a high-flow intake, a Bully Dog engine programmer, a 4-inch exhaust with 5-inch tips, and a custom two-tone paint job with airbrushed pinstripes.
After Desia Anderson drove her husband's '05 Dodge Ram, the conversation went something like this:
"Can I have it?" Desia asked.
"No," her husband answered.
"Fine," Desia said. Then she made plans for a truck that would be bigger and better.
Since Desia was planning to "go big," she started her project by purchasing an '06 Dodge Mega Cab 2500. Along with wanting to upstage her husband's truck, Desia felt her project could raise awareness about women who love driving fullsize rigs-and this Mega Cab is definitely fullsized. She used the motto "Silly Boys...Trucks Are For Girls" as a guiding theme while assembling a 4x4 that can play with the big guys while being stylish. For Desia, that did not mean building a "boys" truck and simply painting it pink.

The custom pinstripes were airbrushed by a family member who works at a nearby paint shop. The red and black stripes start at the Mega Cab's revised grille and wrap all the way around the truck and include the kind of shading details you won't find in tape stripes. |  Desia wanted everything about...  Desia wanted everything about the rig to be bigger than the '05 Ram driven by her husband, so she started by purchasing a Mega Cab, which has a cabin that's 20 inches longer than a Quad Cab. To make it stand out from the other Megas on the road, custom paint and pinstripes were some of the first modifications made. |
 The 6-inch Superlift suspension...  The 6-inch Superlift suspension kit includes dual Bilstein remote reservoir shocks and coils specially designed to carry the weight of the Cummins engine. To give the truck a woman's touch, she had the folks at Ogden Chrome dip the coils and suspension links. Kevlar-braided extended brake lines look good and make sure there is no binding when the suspension gets flexed. |  The Superlift suspension kit...  The Superlift suspension kit uses a dropped pitman arm and optional steering stabilizer shocks to keep the Mega Cab traveling in a straight line. The rear suspension uses silver Bilstein shocks and chrome leaf spring lift blocks to raise the back of the truck by 4 inches.
