1967 Jeep M715 - Olive Drab Ogre

 1967 Jeep M715 Chevy 6.2L
The engine is a simple Chevy 6.2L diesel. The naturally aspirated engine makes great torque, runs cool, and uses very little fuel on the trail. The air intake was built using pieces from a Hummer H1 mated with a k&n conical filter.
 1967 Jeep M715 Np205 Transfer Case
The divorce-mounted nP205 transfer case is well protected and tucked up between the framerails. Using Rockwell top-loading axles allows excellent driveshaft angles; however, the pinion brakes heat up quickly when used at high speeds over long distances.
 1967 Jeep M715 Interior
The interior of the M715 is spartan and uncluttered, just as a military truck should be. Estes built a custom cage that fits under the stock canvas top and protects the occupants in case of a rollover. Dual Optima batteries and a Gast air compressor are mounted between the seats of the wide cab.
 1967 Jeep M715 Rear Spare
Estes took 20 inches out of the military bed, bringing the rear of the frame even with the shackle hangers. There is still plenty of room for a fullsize NDT spare tire and a storage box full of tools and recovery gear.
 1967 Jeep M715 Superlift Springs
The rear suspension is based on Superlift springs for a Chevy pickup and helps the truck clear the 44-inch tires.
