While a number of trucks smoked... While a number of trucks smoked the stands, the eventual winner of the burnout contest was John Schulmberger in a black Ram dualie. | "Wild Bill" Cole's 2,000hp,... "Wild Bill" Cole's 2,000hp, twin-turbo V-12 Detroit Diesel Kenworth lived up to his name. Besides nearly blasting through the rail at the end of the sled-pull track, he pulled a wheelie as well! He offered to let us be "seat meat" on the metal folding chair in the passenger side of the cockpit, but we politely declined. This 20,000-pound rig burns 35 gallons in 15 seconds, and can melt a chassis dyno. Cole's best runs are 380 feet on the sled pull, and 18.2 seconds at 78 mph in the quarter-mile. | Scott Anderson's white '06... Scott Anderson's white '06 Dodge Ram dug in its hooves to take the sled pull in the Street Stock class. There was a bit of controversy in the Modified class, but it appears that Michael Spadey was the eventual winner. |
