A big grin and a big trophy for the second consecutive year.
For the second year in a row, a Duramax has won Diesel Power Challenge, and for the second year in a row, it's Micheal Tomac. How did he do it again? He brought a tried-and-true combination that proved reliable during dozens of sled pulls and drag races throughout the year. He knew it wouldn't break, and while other competitors were frantically trying to squeeze every last bit of performance out of their trucks, Micheal used only as much as he needed. His balanced approach gave him such a big lead in the competition by the second day that he would've needed to finish close to the bottom in the sled-pull standings for his victory to be in jeopardy. For someone who has "Tomac Pulling" on the side of his trailer, that didn't seem likely, and a Second Place finish in the sled pull sealed the overall victory. Congratulations, Micheal, for defeating all comers-two years in a row.
